“Many of the consumers have chronic medical conditions and healthy eating was critical to them maintaining their health. Eating healthy began with the group deciding what healthy snacks the group would consume. Fresh fruit, yogurt and fresh vegetables ranked high among the consumers. Training each other to read food labels and learning how to effectively comparison shop were other related topics the group chose to pursue.”
