Working Well with a Disability (WWD) is a seven-week workshop within the HCL Program for people who want to develop a healthy lifestyle to get and keep a job that meets their needs.
Workshop participants can:
- Develop healthy habits to manage health conditions, have the energy to work, and meet other life objectives
- Decide on goals and a plan to achieve them
- See how to reduce chronic pain, fatigue, and depressed mood that might slow progress

Orientation
The Orientation session introduces Working Well with a Disability’s philosophy and components and explains how healthy lifestyle habits can help participants find balance and get or stay employed. The Orientation session may be used as a recruitment tool and can help potential participants determine if this is the correct workshop for their situation.
Working for Your Values
Working for Your Values helps participants think about the things they value and how they fit with employment and their other life activities and goals.
The Great Balancing Act
The Great Balancing Act helps participants understand how to balance their lives and competing demands in ways that keep them happy and fulfilled.
Stress and Working Well
Stress and Working Well helps participants think about how they react to difficult situations and provides strategies for reacting more positively.
The Power of Advocacy
The Power of Advocacy provides strategies for effectively resolving concerns at work and in the community.
Balance Through Physical Activity
Balance Through Physical Activity shows how to improve physical fitness to have the energy and stamina to pursue work and life goals.
Eating Well to Live Well
Eating Well to Live Well has nutrition advice and ideas for healthy eating when time and money are tight.
